One week to go!

So, we've made it to 33 weeks! My C-section is already scheduled for next week. Orange is the New Black had it right when Lorna (the crazy stalker) says "It's like the less time you got, the slower it goes." I was really bored yesterday, so what is going to happen for the next week?! So grateful for HGTV (although my Pinterest boards and conversations have centered on hardwood floors and DIY lately.)

I am really ready to go home. For the obvious reasons (sleep in my own bed and miss my family) and because I am sick of being here. My legs have been really itchy for the past few weeks and no one knows why. I'm on a steroid cream which helps a little. It's really a mind over matter thing. My hubby is afraid I'm going to overdo it once I get home and end up back in the hospital. I totally agree. I already have a list of things to do, what I really want to cook or bake...

So today I got an extra weight reading on Penny (I begged for it after seeing how huge my belly got and I gained 9 lbs in 3 weeks). She is 4lb and 11oz! Way more than we ever could have guessed! I also looked up where that puts her on a preemie growth chart and found a site that said she was around 60%. Maybe the gestational diabetes is helping? ;) (That's a joke, I've had 3 bad blood sugars since they started taking my after meal sugars 2 weeks ago.)

Also had a vein doppler today because I pulled a muscle stretching a few days ago and if you have pain in your calf, it could be a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis) which can dislodge if left untreated and cause an embolism in the lungs or somewhere else scary. Luckily, like I said, it's just a muscle over stretched. Already overdoing it and I haven't even delivered yet!

So, C-section next week and hopefully a big baby! Still nervous about her well being once she is here. A woman on one of my support groups ruptured and delivered a few weeks earlier than me, but was ruptured for 11 weeks like me and her baby's lungs weren't well developed enough to help her survive. So, still proceeding with hesitation.

Our big concern right now is how to schedule my son's 3rd birthday party between me coming home and Penny coming home... yikes!
