Hitting the wall

Well, I'm done. It's hard to stay motivated when your short/long term goal has been met. 28 week is a great "out of the danger zone" time period. Unfortunately, I have also lost all interest in being here, so I keep thinking, "if she comes now, it'll be fine!" Which only makes life more frustrating.

Researching local NICUs

Well, it's week 26. Bleeding has pretty much stopped, however I am still losing amniotic fluid. The doctor said the chances of my rupture re-sealing are slim, so no plans to go home before Penny is born. On the bright side, I am looking pregnant again, and not because of my constipation, because I finally pooped Monday! However, my AFI is lower, down to 5.6, but I think this is because she moved last week. Still breech, just laying the OTHER way now. Silly girl.

Week 25!

Well, a lot of good news came out of some sketchy things today.

Let's start out with how awesome my nurses were to request no vitals between 11 and 7 from the on call doc yesterday. I slept from 11 to 5 uninterrupted. My son usually wakes us around 5, so it is still kind of ingrained in me to wake up then.

Unfortunately, my morning trip to the bathroom involved new symptoms: blood. I immediately alerted the nurses.

We have made it to 24 weeks!

Today is our official "aging up" day. Penelope is now 24 weeks. How much she weighs will determine her exact increase in chances of survival, but on average, babies born this week have a 59% chance of survival. It may sound low, but I like to think anything over 50% is awesome.

pPROM at 23 weeks

pPROM... nope, not "pregnant prom," unfortunately, although I don't know if that would be as entertaining as it sounds... lol
